Last year I was contacted by the mother of Allison Feldman and we have since become friends.
Allison Feldman was found murdered in her home in Arizona. Police say she was assaulted, and there were signs that she tried to fight off the attacker.
Her mother Elayne tells me she feels broken and destroyed. I have been trying to figure out a way to ease her pain in some way. I wrote a poem titled CROSSROAD (posted below).
Allison was only 31. She was a burn and trauma specialist. She worked in burn and trauma hospitals in 5 states. She was so kind and volunteered her time to work at the AZ burn camp every summer in Prescott, AZ. At her funeral and memorial, the family asked people not to send flowers but to make any donation to the Arizona Burn Foundation which finances the Burn Camp for badly burned children.
Please reach into your heart and donate to the Burn Camp in memory of Allison. It may help Elayne cope and continue moving forward. You would be remembering Allison, assigning a purpose to this tragedy AND helping burned children.
